Vegetarian menu planned on October 24th 2012


Julie Noble and Jacob Sanders, owners of Beautiful Buffalo Farm, will be the Featured Guests at Dinner at the Rafns' on October 24th. They are first-year farmers growing a variety of vegetables in Polk County. They deliver their produce via bicycle to the Monmouth Farmers' Market and Craft Fair every Wednesday and Saturday.

Our dinner on October 24th showcases the bounty of autumn. We hope you can attend! Reservations are required.

- Vegetarian Cannelloni Pasta -
homemade pasta, vegetable and cheese stuffing, autumn tomato sauce

- Cream Cheese Tart -
organic cream cheese, shortbread crust, Rome apples, candied walnuts

APRIL 21, 2013 We would like to thank all those who attended our dinner last Thursday. We had another packed house and it sounds like everyone enjoyed the food and company. The ingredients used in this meal were sourced from a handful of local farmers and artisans. The potatoes in the soup were from Teal Creek Farms ; those tasty little cheese curds were made by Full Circle Creamery ; the pork was raised by Rain Shadow El Rancho ; and the goat cheese was hand crafted by the kind folks at Fairview Farm Goat Dairy . We hope you'll patronize these fine businesses. Without them, Dinner at the Rafns' would not be possible.
