Pumpkin-themed dinner on November 14th 2012


We are paying tribute to the mighty pumpkin at Dinner at the Rafns' on November 14th. Pumpkins are native to North America and have played an important role in both American and Canadian holiday traditions. Our dinner on November 14th will feature pumpkin in each of four courses. It's sure to be a delicious meal. We hope you can attend! Reservations are required.

- Soup -
roasted pumpkin puree, garlic, dill, organic cream, bone broth

- Salad -
organic greens, white wine vinaigrette, roasted pumpkin seeds, Full Circle Creamery cheddar cheese

- Main Course -
Rain Shadow El Rancho pork chop, pumpkin demi-glace, millet porridge

- Dessert -
spiced pumpkin pudding, Rochelle's chocolate cookies

APRIL 21, 2013 We would like to thank all those who attended our dinner last Thursday. We had another packed house and it sounds like everyone enjoyed the food and company. The ingredients used in this meal were sourced from a handful of local farmers and artisans. The potatoes in the soup were from Teal Creek Farms ; those tasty little cheese curds were made by Full Circle Creamery ; the pork was raised by Rain Shadow El Rancho ; and the goat cheese was hand crafted by the kind folks at Fairview Farm Goat Dairy . We hope you'll patronize these fine businesses. Without them, Dinner at the Rafns' would not be possible.
